“Some pianists gild everything they touch with their own personality; some are like chameleons, finding a new colour for each composer. Last night, the wonderful Scottish pianist Steven Osborne did both, which lent the whole evening a miraculous air.” The Daily Telegraph, 8 February 2016

Steven Osborne continues to enjoy a long and supportive relationship with Hyperion with whom he has recorded 26 discs to date. Amongst the numerous awards he has won for his recordings, Steven received a Gramophone Award in 2009 for his release of Britten’s Complete Works for Piano and Orchestra and again in 2013 for Mussorgsky’s Pictures from an Exhibition and Prokofiev’s Visions Fugitives & Sarcasms.

Macbeth Media Relations first began working with Steven Osborne in the lead-up to his 2012 BBC Proms performance of Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.  We have continued to develop his profile through the promotion of recordings and performances, with this season’s focuses including his Debussy release for Hyperion, his debut at Southbank Centre’s International Chamber Music Series and two Wigmore Hall recitals.
