Winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Instrumentalist of the Year in 2013, pianist Steven Osborne is one of Britain’s most treasured musicians.  Celebrated for his insightful interpretations, his musicality and technique, Osborne is much sought after as soloist, chamber musician and recitalist.

Steven Osborne continues to enjoy a long and supportive relationship with Hyperion with whom he has recorded 29 discs to date. Steven’s eclectic discography, ranging from Crumb, Feldman, Messiaen and Tippett, to Beethoven, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev and Schubert, has accumulated numerous awards including two Gramophone Awards, three Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik Awards and a clutch of Recordings of the Year from The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times and The Sunday Times.

Macbeth Media Relations first began working with Steven Osborne in the lead-up to his 2012 BBC Proms performance of Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. We have continued to develop his profile through the promotion of recordings and performances. During the 2019-20 season, our focuses include his performances of Beethoven’s last three piano sonatas in the composer’s anniversary year, his Royal Scottish National Orchestra Artist-in-Residency, joint recitals with Paul Lewis including a performance at the Wigmore Hall, his return to the International Piano Series and his 30th Hyperion recording release of Prokofiev’s War Sonatas.
