“The expanding popularity of HD relays into local cinemas of performances “live from the Met”… is an extraordinary and transformative phenomenon of the last decade.”
The Daily Telegraph

The Met: Live in HD

The Met: Live in HD is the world’s leading provider of alternative cinema content and seen by approximately three million opera lovers worldwide. The programme has grown every season, and now shows in more than 2,200 theatres in 70 countries, including more than 203 cinemas in the UK. More than 26 million tickets have been sold since the series’ inception in 2006.

Macbeth Media Relations was first engaged by New York’s Metropolitan Opera at the start of the 2011 season. We currently work directly with the Met to develop and coordinate media opportunities in the UK for The Met: Live in HD broadcasts and to support the Met’s social media campaigns. In addition to securing coverage for UK artists involved in the live screenings, we have attracted reviewers to the broadcasts and generated numerous production and non-production based features.
