
Czech Philharmonic and Pentatone Announce New Partnership
The Czech Philharmonic has today announced an important new partnership with PENTATONE who will become joint producers and worldwide distributors for Czech Philharmonic recordings. The agreement will include future releases recorded by the Czech Philharmonic in its state-of-the-art producing house Czech Phil Media which is based in the Rudolfinum, the Orchestra’s home in Prague.
Semyon Bychkov, Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Czech Philharmonic, inaugurates the new relationship with the first release in a new Mahler symphonic cycle: Symphony No. 4 in G major. Captured through a series of recording sessions in the Rudolfinum in August 2020, this new recording features Israeli soprano Chen Reiss and has its international digital release on Friday 8 April 2022.
