PROJECTS
Donghoon Shin
Having won the Claudio Abbado Composition Prize in 2021, London-based South Korean composer, Donghoon Shin, approached us ahead of the world première of Nachtergebung (Night Surrender), Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, commissioned and performed by Berliner Philharmoniker for winning the prize. In addition, Shin has just signed an exclusive publishing agreement with Boosey & Hawkes to promote future works worldwide.
dream.risk.sing
American pianist Lana Bode and British soprano Samantha Crawford set about curating a programme which would tell the stories of women from a woman’s perspective. dream.risk.sing: elevating women’s voices was presented as part of Oxford Lieder Festival’s 20th anniversary season which featured the world première of Crossing Faultlines, a new song cycle commissioned from composer Charlotte Bray and poet Nicki Jackowska. The programme is released worldwide on Delphian Records in early 2023.
Geoffrey Paterson
British conductor Geoffrey Paterson has an impressively broad repertoire. Having been recommended him by composer, Julian Anderson, we were tasked with promoting his activities leading up to, and including the 2022 BBC Proms, in which he will conduct a new work by Marius Neset.
Psappha
We were approached by Psappha to promote the activities surrounding their 30th Anniversary in 2022. As the North West’s only stand-alone professional contemporary classical music ensemble, Psappha has commissioned and premièred more chamber music than any other independent group in the country, with the current tally standing at over 500. The anniversary is marked with the release of Commissions, distributed by NMC, and a special concert, paying homage to Peter Maxwell Davies.
Royal Academy of Music
We have enjoyed a close and collaborative relationship with the Royal Academy of Music ever since Semyon Bychkov was appointed Klemperer Chair of Conducting in 2012. In 2018, we were part of the team that brought the Czech Philharmonic to the RAM to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Czechoslovak independence. As RAM celebrates its 200th anniversary this year, we are working with the press team towards a special performance of Mahler's Third Symphony with the Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra conducted by Bychkov at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
Wiener Symphoniker
Former General Manager Johannes Neubert introduced us to the Wiener Symphoniker when he moved to the Orchestra subsequent to his role at the Grafenegg Festival and Tonkunstler Orchestra. In 2011 we collaborated on the appointment of Philippe Jordan as Music Director, and in 2014 on the launch of Wiener Symphoniker's record label followed by the promotion of many of the label's new releases.
