
Jakub Hrůša conducts Czech Philharmonic
On 1 December, Principal Guest Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Jakub Hrůša conducts the world première of Czech composer Slavomír Hořínka’s Rejoice III.
Slavomír Hořínka was a finalist of the first competition held by the Czech Philharmonic in 2014 and was commissioned by the orchestra to write Rejoice III. Also in the programme is Martinů’s Violin Concerto No. 1, chosen by the Orchestra’s guest artist Josef Špaček, and Suk’s Summer’s Tale.
The programme is repeated again on the 2 and 3 December and the third performance will be livestreamed on Facebook.
