
Kirill Gerstein – 2021/22 season launch
Kirill Gerstein starts his new season with performances with conductor Alan Gilbert first with the NDR Elbphilharmonie, followed a week later by concerts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
On 16-17 September, they present music by Kurtág and Beethoven at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg followed by a performance of the same programme at Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on 18 September.
The following week, Gerstein and Gilbert can be heard performing music by Strauss and Rachmaninov in Amsterdam on 22-23 September. Two days later, they travel together to Bucharest to play at the 2021 George Enescu International Festival where their concert on 25 September will be available for international viewing via a live-stream.
